Strengths: Excellent height, and athleticism at the SF position. Aminu plays almost like a PG while in the open floor. He has the ability to pass to an open player or take the ball to the basket. He has a great wingspan, and is very quick off his feet coupled with great leaping ability. This allows him to block shots from the weak side with regularity. Great range on his shot, and the size to play either guard or SF (maybe a little bit of point forward from time to time).

Weaknesses: Going up against college players will test his defense. He was not known as a defender when being scouted, and stepping up to a higher level might expose this. Although he is a good help, or weak side defender his man on man skills have yet to be tested at a high level. Aminu also needs to work on penetration moves as he settles too much for the outside shot. Once he gets to the line more he will be able to show off his higher than average FT% for his position.
