Strengths: DeRozan is a very strong player at this point and he is only 18 years old. At 6'6 and above 200lbs DeRozan has the size to play either SG, or SF. He has great dribble penetration moves, and if he cannot find his own shot he also has the ability to pass out of a crowd to an open teammate with ease. Athletically DeRozan is in a catagory of his own. If he does not get by you with his crossover he will with his speed, strength, and athleticism. He is able to get to the FT line almost at will, and he has improved greatly his FT shooting.

Weaknesses: DeRozan is a bit streaky when it comes to his FGs. He isn't the best 3pt shooter either which he will need in the NBA if he is to be a starting SG/SF. He sometimes looks a bit winded out there which is probably due to his high flying act he puts on. He needs to tone it down a bit if he is to be a consistent 40min a night player. There is a time and a place to play above the rim, and DeRozan needs to learn this. Overall thogh it's tough to find chinks in a players armor who is as good as DeRozan.
