Strengths: Excellent range on his jumpshot out to the NBA 3pt line. Very accurate from distance. When his shot isn't dropping from outside he takes the ball inside and is able to draw a foul pretty much at will. Excellent body control when taking the ball to the rim. At the FT line he shoots at a decent %. Harden is a great passing SG and sees the floor very well. Is able to find an open man if he does not have an open shot. Harden is a better than average rebounder at the college level.

Weaknesses: Although he shoots at a high % he is a bit streaky the further out he goes. He has a great ability to get to the FT line, but sometimes relies on his jumpshot too much. He has the size and skills to play either combo guard or SG, buth athletically he's just average. This might cause problems for him in the NBA guarding larger players. He is an OK college defender, but there isn't much room to improve unless he were to work on his footwork. He's a bit on the short side as SGs are concerned, and at the moment does not posess the athletic ability to make up for the lack of athleticism, but he is a hard worker, and has a great love for the game which shows in his competitive spirit.
