Strengths: Rubio is by far the most intriguing prospect in the 2009 draft. Great upside, and potential with the talent to reach it. Excellent ball handling, and court vision. He is able to make passes with ease that others work on for years just to be average. He is an above average defender, and has good anticipation. He gets to the line pretty much whenever he wants, and shoots at a high FT% once on the stripe. Probably the best 17 year old in the world at this point.

Weaknesses: If I had to nitpick I would have to say his athleticism is about average, and he lacks a consistent NBA range 3pt shot at this point although by the time he reached the NBA this should be solved. Strength wise he is a bit weak but we have to cut him a break because he is not fully developed. By the time he is finished growing he should be a good sized PG. He still makes some mistakes against more experienced players who know the "tricks of the trade". The NBA team that nabs this PG will have one of the best PGs in the world for years to come.
